Most directly, this blog is about 2 Corinthians 4:1-6:
“Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we received mercy, we do not lose heart, but we have renounced the things hidden because of shame, not walking in craftiness or adulterating the word of God, but by the manifestation of truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.” (2 Corinthians 4:1-6)
God “dwells in unapproachable light” (1 Tim. 6:16), and “Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!” (Rom. 11:33) Yet He has sent one who is “the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature” (Heb. 1:3). The one John the baptist prophesied saying: “There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man.” (John 1:9) He is “the light of the world” (John 8:12) who gives us knowledge of God for he who has seen Jesus has seen the Father (John 14:9). This knowledge of God in Christ given to us through the glory of the Gospel is defined as more than simple understanding. In John 17:3 Jesus says, “This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” Jesus defines eternal life in terms of knowing Him and His Father.
That is what this blog is about. I struggled long with whether or not to make a blog because I don’t have anything original to say that others can’t say in a better way. Even more than that I am not really qualified to give professional opinion to anything. However, I do read a lot and love giving away the jewels and gems of my reading. So I will frequently post here the great, edifying, godly words of men who are qualified to expound the knowledge of Christ which leads to eternal life! I hope you enjoy
